Week of December 8

Our book this week was The Gingerbread Man.

One of our songs this week was We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

We decorated gingerbread men this week. We used our fine motor skills to sprinkle glitter on our little cookies.

We also practiced our fine motor skills with the North Pole. We used a straw in play doh for our pole. We practiced placing pasta on the pole. It was hard work, but our little ones made lots of progress. They were proud of their work. There was lots of clapping!

We have been practicing our songs for the Christmas program. Our program will be at 10:30 on December 18. Monday and Tuesday classes will need to arrive in the classroom at 10:00 on the day of the program. We will perform first. The children will be dismissed to you from the stage so you can watch the rest of the show together.

Week of November 17

We missed our Monday kids this week. It's strange to have a snow day so early.

We hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! There will be no Toddler Time class next week.

This week we worked on saying Thank You.

Our book was Thank You Thanksgiving.

One of our songs was 10 Little Turkeys.

We hope you enjoy the fall and Thanksgiving artwork we sent home today.

This week we made some foam Christmas ornaments with stickers. We also did some finger painting to decorate Christmas trees.

We added some dried Lima beans to our fall sensory bin this week. The favorite is still the feathers.

Kenzie and I liked feathers in our hair.

We started practicing ringing our bells and singing Jingle Bells for our school Christmas program.

We really wear them out in Toddler Time. It's a busy day :)

Week of November 10

It feels like winter outside, but it is still fall in Toddler Time.

We had a short weeks since we had no Tuesday class. We will do extra activities next week so our Tuesday class won't miss out on our turkey craft.

Our story this week was Let it Fall.

One of our songs was Autumn Leaves are Falling.

Our pumpkin spice sensory finger painting from last week have transformed into good smelling pumpkin pie slices.

We made turkeys! We used liquid watercolors to paint coffee filters. These made the tails for our little turkeys.

Our fall sensory bin got a little fluffier this week. We added lots of feathers. We enjoyed dropping them and watching them float to the floor. Mr Drew visited us again on Monday. He is a student intern from a North High School child care/education program. The little ones thought he was lots of fun.

Reminder: Toddler Time will not meet the week of Thanksgiving. Enjoy your holiday with family!

Happy Halloween from Toddler Time!

Our book this week was Lulla's Perfect Pumpkin.

We enjoyed several Spooky Halloween songs this week. One of them was 5 Little Pumpkins.

We decorated Halloween treat bags. We practiced our fine motor skills using stickers to put a face on a Jack-O-Lantern. Then, our Toddler Time teachers filled the bags with treats for our special little ones.

We played some Ghost Bowling this week. We used balls to try and knock down "Ghost" plastic cups. This was a fun game for everyone.

We did some fine motor work this week putting Pom Pom "pumpkins" into bottles.

We hope all our little ones have a great Halloween!

We are collecting Yams for the Evansville Rescue Mission. Mrs Nicki has challenged us to collect 500 cans of Yams!
