Week of January 26

One of our books this week was Ready For Winter.

One of our songs was I'm a Little Snowman.

We started working on a snow globe craft. We glued cotton balls and snowflakes to our paper. Then, we added silver glitter. Next week we will add to our snow globes.

We did some fine motor practice this week. It's so fun to see how well are little ones are doing with their fine motor skills.

Week of January 19

This week we continued to celebrate the chilly weather.

One of our songs was Put on Your Shoes.

We made puffy snow scenes this week. We used a mixture of shaving cream and glue to make puffy paint. Our little ones loved saying "dab, dab, dab" as they painted their scenes.

To practice our fine motor skills we practiced filling our snowman bottles with mini marshmallows. We also had some disappearing marshmallows. All they left behind were smiles!

Week of January 12

It was a chilly week outside. We had fun with a winter theme.

Lots of information came home in binders this week:

- Monday toddler time will not meet next week due to the Martin Luther Kind Jr. Holiday.

- Registration form for the 2014-2015 school year went home this week. Please turn those in as soon as possible to reserve your spot in Jump Start for next year. There are a limit number of spots available. We will be opening up outside registrations soon!

- Home for Your Heart School has a new phone number 812-612-0532

One of our books this week was Winter.

One of our songs was Little Snowflake.

We painted polar bears with our hands this week. Our little ones are really getting comfortable having messy paint on their hands. Lots of them are also eager to help clean up the table after craft time!

We used cotton swabs to paint dots on paper mittens. We folded the paper in half and squished them together to make a matching set of mittens. All our little ones were very eager to paint and choose different colors.

Week of January 5

To match our cold week, our theme in Toddler Time has been Snomen.

One of our books this week was Frosty the Snowman.

One of our songs this week was 5 Little Snowmen.

For our craft, we made melting snowmen. They turned out so cute!

We worked on our fine motor skills by "building" snowmen. We stuffed snowman bottles with cotton balls. It was hard work, but lots of fun!
