Week of March 16

We focused on the color green this week for St. Patrick's day.

Our book was called colors.

This week we spent time practicing our fun songs for our graduation ceremony on May 14th.

We used green peppers in our art work. We stamped slices of pepper in green paint to make shamrock shapes on our paper.

We had split peas in our sensory bin along with gold coins. Our little ones had fun finding the buried treasure.

For fine motor activity we practiced stringing Fruit Loops on pipe cleaners. There might have been more that were eaten then stayed on the pipe cleaners :)

Week of March 9

We had another fun week with colors!

One of our songs was I See Colors.

One of our books was Through the Window Book of Colors.

This week we added to our fish bowl craft from last week. We glued cereal for the gravel. Then, we added colored gold fish.

We also used our colored goldfish to practice sorting colors. Everyone thought it was pretty funny to sneak and eat a few gold fish :)

Week of March 2

We were thinking bright colors instead of snow in Toddler Time this week. We missed our Thursday kids, but we will still catch up on all the fun they missed.

Our story this week was One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr Seuss.

One of our songs was The Color Song.

We started a fish bowl craft this week. We will work on it more again next week. To start, we used a "paint" made of corn syrup, water, and food color. We painted paper plates with this shiny blue mix. Next week we will add fish and gravel to our bowls.

For our sensory activity this week we played in colored rice. The rice was colored using Koolaid packets in different flavors. It was lots of fun!
