Open House

We are so excited to meet our new Toddler Time kids! 

Open House is Friday, August 16th at:

• 6:00pm for students with last names starting with A-M, with a brief informational meeting at 6:20pm.
• 7:00pm for students with last names starting with N-Z, with a brief informational meeting at 7:20pm.

Open House is a great time to meet us and see your new classroom. Please bring your enrollment packets and your first month tuition payment that night.

Our Winter-Themed January

We focused on winter this month, even though yesterday was a near record 65 degrees outside.  We had salt and cotton balls in our sensory table this month.  Everyone loved the feeling of the salt falling through their little fingers.  We also played in trays of ice that were very, very cold...brrr. During craft time, we made "stained glass" mittens for our windows and two different kinds of snowmen for our hallway wall.

Now that half of the school year is behind us, I took moments this month thinking about how much each toddler has grown. And boy have they grown! Everyone who has been coming since August now walks in the room with no more tears.  This is huge because leaving mommy is always so hard. They sit during snack time, fold their hands, listen to our prayer, and says "Amen" before they eat.  This makes my heart smile at each snack time! The toddlers are also all sitting and listen to a story, and are now learning a lot of animal sounds and body parts. Ask them to show you their mouth, eyes, nose, ears, hands, and toes. I am so proud of them all and they add such joy to my day.  Thank you moms and dads for sharing them with me.

Our Holiday Season

We had a great November and December in Toddler Time.  We made some fun Turkey crafts and played in canned pumpkin during the Thanksgiving season.  Throughout December we worked hard on practicing shaking our jingle bells for the Christmas program.  We made santa hats, ornaments, and a very cute plate for our mom's and dad's for christmas.  We played in our christmas themed sensory table and got to have a pajama party the last week of school before christmas break.  I am so proud of how well everyone did during the christmas program. Each toddler looked so cute on the stage, shaking their jingle bells! Mrs. Jill and I are looking forward to the new year and we will be welcoming two new toddlers to our Monday Toddler Time.

A Spook-tacular October

October was filled with a lot of Halloween crafts, a falled themed sensory table, and our very first time to the playground!! This month we made bats, ghosts, and witches hats. We used a lot of black paint and used our glue sticks for the first time.  Our sensory table had cornflakes in it at the beginning of the month with fun fall things to play with and feel.  We had pinecones, leaves, and pretend pumkins and gords to play and dump. Some of the toddlers joined us on a field trip with the older kids to the apple orchard where we were able to see how they make apple cider and walk through the trees where the apples grow.  This month we also got to play on the playground for the first time.  This was big news in our room!!  Everyone had a blast and Mrs. Jill and I were glad we went at the end of the day because no one wanted to leave the playground to go back inside.  We ended our month with a Boo-riffic Halloween party.  Moms, Dads, Grandmas, and Aunts came to join us as we played ghost bowling and dug for candy.  They also helped us make a ghost out of our foot print to take home. Overall October was a Spook-tacular month!!

A View of Our First Few Weeks of School

Our first few weeks of school have gone very smoothly in Toddler Time.  We have had fun playing with our sensory activities and making crafts with paint.  We have popped bubbles with our fingers, played with sticky tape, and dumped and scooped dry oatmeal.  We have also made a painting by stamping apples and finger painted a sun.  All of the toddlers have enjoyed painting, but a few weren't sure about putting it on their fingers!  Everyone one has also enjoyed going on wagon rides.  They will stand at the door and say, "choo-choo."  We have a had a great few weeks and have more fun activities to come.

Welcome To Toddler Time!!

Mrs. Jill and I would like to welcome all are new toddlers to Toddler Time.  We are excited to start the year and have a lot of fun things planned for our days together. We would like to invite you to our Back to School Night. This is a great night to see our classroom and meet your new friends and Mrs. Jill and I. We hope you see you then!
