Weeks of 9/14 & 9/21

We've had lots of fun the last two weeks!

The week of September 14th:

We listened and watched a video to "Two Little Dicky Birds" and we used the dot markers and made paper plate birds. The kiddos loved making lots of dots on the plates! We also worked on our fine motor skills by putting noodles on straws and playing with playdoh.

The week of September 21st:

This week we listened to the story "Ten Little Ladybugs" and painted red ladybugs. We also explored in the oatmeal sensory bin. They played with acorns, cinnamon sticks and sticks. The kids loved scooping and dumping the oatmeal.

We also got to play outside almost every day too! We love playing outside!!

Weeks 1-3

We've had a great first 3 weeks of school in Toddler Time! We've enjoyed getting to know each other and learning to play with our new friends.

We've worked on some fine motor skills, experienced some new sensory items, and even painted a little. We also got to play outside on our playground!

Our little ones are doing a good job learning the routine of each day. We've been so proud of them!  Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks.

Week of April 20

We took a trip under the sea this week in Toddler Time.

Our book was Rainbow Fish.

One of our songs was A Hole in the Bottom of the Sea.

For our fine motor craft, we made star fish. We used glue and Cherrios to decorate them. There might have been some snacking involved too :)

For our sensory play, Mrs Lana made us some ocean colored cloud dough. She used corn starch, shaving cream, and blue food coloring. We used sea creature shapes to mold the dough. It was a big hit!

We had some fun with sharks, whales, and dolphins too!

Week of April 13

We continued our bug theme this week.

Our book was Caterpillar Spring Butterfly Summer

We glued tissue paper pieces to make butterflies. It was a good fine motor practice for our little ones since the tissue kept sticking to their fingers :)

We planted a garden this week with chocolate playdoh, flowers, and bugs.

Our Monday class was lucky and got to visit the playground this week. We are hoping for more good weather so all our little ones can play outside with their friends soon.
