Week of October 27

Happy Halloween from Toddler Time!

Our book this week was Lulla's Perfect Pumpkin.

We enjoyed several Spooky Halloween songs this week. One of them was 5 Little Pumpkins.

We decorated Halloween treat bags. We practiced our fine motor skills using stickers to put a face on a Jack-O-Lantern. Then, our Toddler Time teachers filled the bags with treats for our special little ones.

We played some Ghost Bowling this week. We used balls to try and knock down "Ghost" plastic cups. This was a fun game for everyone.

We did some fine motor work this week putting Pom Pom "pumpkins" into bottles.

We hope all our little ones have a great Halloween!

We are collecting Yams for the Evansville Rescue Mission. Mrs Nicki has challenged us to collect 500 cans of Yams!

We've been talking a lot about animals in Toddler Time this week.

Our song was The Animal Boogie.

Our book was Wild Animals.

We painted snakes this week. We used bubble wrap to stamp green and yellow paint on our snakes.

For our sensory activity, we searched for jungle animals in raffia. Our little ones had fun untangling the animals and making animal sounds.

For our fine motor activity, we learned to string beads made of pool noodles on to jump rope.

Week of October 6

Fall is in the air this week in Toddler Time.
Our song was The Scarecrow Song.

Our Book was God Is My Friend.

We continue to learn saying grace before eating our snack. Our little ones are sitting at the table for snack. We still have a little wandering, but they are catching on to the routine.

We finger painted Indian Corn this week. Our little ones are getting more comfortable getting a little messy. We used our finger tips to paint dots in red, orange, and brown paint.

This week was picture week. Angela Nixon was here taking pictures. Our little ones enjoyed seeing the school bus.

One day we were able to take a wagon ride. Everyone enjoyed the ride.

We practiced our fine motor skills by placing corn kernels in the holes of a container. We could see improvement in just a short time with lots of our little ones. Some are working to master their pincher grasp and others are making big improvements.

We had a fall sensory bin this week. We had lots of raffia along with our farm animals and tractors. We even had a scarecrow join in.

Tuesday the 14th is our field trip to Mayes Farm. We will not have Toddler Time class on Tuesday. We will see you there.
